19 days

Since this is the SECOND time I'm trying to post this, I hope I can remember everything that I already had written.
We've been busy but not a lot is going on, you know? I'm still trying to get my Christmas decorations out, in one piece, and up. Now I remember why I always do it the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. If I don't, it takes forever to get it done, and by then it's time to pack it all up again! It's hard to get into the spirit when it 70 degrees out. It's been so warm here and I think that is throwing everyone off. We need clouds and cold and snow!

It's also hard to get into the spirit when people like to pick this time of year to commit crimes. My MIL was attacked the other morning at her home. She went to unlock her front gate in the morning and someone was on the other side. As soon as she went to open the door, they shoved it into her really hard. She fell down and then the dogs started barking like crazy. We think that's what scared the person off. Thank God nothing more happened to her, but she was still shaken up. My FIL was also pretty upset. He's a truck driver and so he's gone pretty early and was halfway across the state when he found out. Has anyone else been hearing about home invasions? We all need to be aware and report anyone or anything that seems odd. The boys and I added the grandparents to our morning prayer for God to keep safe and watch over throughout the day.

The hubbs and I went to a new church on Sunday. The song service was really good and the Pastor is a neat guy. It has a good atmosphere and I would love to have a place where the kids can make some friends and get involved. Plus, it's a building that the company I work for built!

I had lunch with an old friend yesterday. Her and I lost touch since she got remarried and it was good to reconnect. Especially since we pick N*thing but N**dles. She ordered the three cheese macaroni with broccoli added. i realized that it's because of her that I eat that dish. It is so good! I add broccoli to the mac & cheese I make at home for the kids. The veggies totally cancel out any bad stuff you know. ;)

That's about it for the life and times of Chunk.
Have a good day and don't forget to use your blinker unabashedly and do a little wave to thank someone for letting you in. Whether they wanted to or not!

Chancho, can I borrow some sweats?

There's not too much happening in the land of Chunk. I'm a boring, not regular blog posting person. I'm having fun in the orange mobile, though.
I had a Dr. appt. yesterday and I was about a half hour early, which was fine with me, I had a good book to read. I did start getting irritated though when I was finished with my book and it was 15 min. after my scheduled appt. and I was still sitting in the waiting room! I did eventually get in and then the Dr. says, "It was nice to meet you and thank you very much for waiting for me." ??? Of course I had to wait, I already paid my co-pay and I needed a check up. Really, what do you say, "It's ok, this time, but don't let it happen again!"
This morning I got treated to a Peppermint Mocha frapp from *$ and a breakfast burrito and I found some awesome shoes online, normally $90. on sale for $22! It's Christmas for me already!
So, your mission today is to do something nice for someone else. Instead of speeding up when someone wants to get over, let off the gas, and wave them in. Give someone a compliment out of the blue.
Good luck on your test today, M!

I'm a 10! On a scale of 100.*

So much has happened since my last post. I had a birthday. Not sure how I feel about it. My wonderful husband sent me flowers and a singing balloon. He spoils me so much that I'm rotten. Isn't that how the saying goes?
We got some $ back from our insurance from the accident. (still no clue as to who the perp is, but rest assured, they will get theirs)
I bought a new car. I got a Sunburst Orange Jeep Patriot! I love the color and it's the first time I've ever had a brand new car.
I also had parent teacher conferences for both the boys and I got good reports on both!

*FYI-I'm tired of trying to think of clever and relevant titles so I'm going to put quotes from movies instead.

Goodbye Lola

First of all, the boys and I are OK. Friday morning on our way to school, the boys and I were in a car accident. A big white SUV hit us on the back rear tire and the Jeep rolled over! We ended up in the median upside down and the SUV that hit us took off. But, by the grace of God we all got out of the car and walked away with just a couple of cuts and bruises. I am really thankful for all the people that stopped and made sure that we were ok. There was one man in particular that got the Hurricane out first and helped get Travi and I out of the car. There were a lot of people that called 911 for us and one lady let me talk to the dispatcher on her phone. I wish I could personally thank them because that small act of compassion meant so much to me.
My husband was my rock and I know he must have been scared to death from the time he got the call that his family was in a rollover accident and that we needed him to come to the scene until he saw for himself that we were ok. He got our insurance moving and took care of the police report and even picked up my stuff out of the Jeep. Thank you honey for taking care of everything for me!
My Jeep is a total loss. :( I really loved that car and I'm going to miss her, but it did it's job and kept my babies safe.

In other news, I didn't get to participate in the Duke City Marathon. I let too much distract me from training, and then I missed the deadline to even register for the walk. It all worked out ok, since we had the accident on Friday and the weather was really crappy yesterday!

Celebrating 8 years

We decided to go to Las Vegas at the last minute to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary which was October 1st. It was literally, the last minute. The Hubbs booked our trip on Thursday for us to leave on Friday. So, we flew out on Friday evening and we stayed at Treasure Island. TI as they call it. TI has a Starbux INSIDE. Take a left from the elevators to the gift shop, make a left and follow the smell of sweet ambrosia.
Besides my fav. coffee place, we walked, and walked and walked, and then walked a little more. We ate dinner, and then walked!some more!
I really like Vegas and since neither of us gamble, we just had fun walking, did I mention that before? Also, it was uphill. Both ways. There wasn't snow, but it was like 20 miles on each side of the strip. Honestly.
We went to the Venetian, which has a Dooney&Bourke store, and also a man that looks like a statue and only makes the tiniest of movements. TI also happens to be right next door to the Fashion Show mall! BTW-this mall has TWO Starbux. Just sayin'. We also got to eat at the Hard Rock cafe, which I was especially excited to take The Hubbs to, because they have life size statues of KISS made up in all their glory. I also tried a mojito for the first time.

So, I know I said I would post pictures, but we realized we are very big on taking pictures, so I don't really have any to share. Well, maybe there is one that I can dig up...

I met Chris Nunez from Miami Ink! The hubbs spotted him in the lobby and asked if he would take a picture with me! He is my favorite from the show and I couldn't believe it when we found out he was booked for an appearance at the club in our hotel. M even made reservations for us to go, but we decided we would skip the club and just go walking! again! Anyway, on our way out, we saw him in the lobby. (after I had the brillant idea of taking out my contacts, putting something "comfy" on and not even putting on some decent lipstick! Which doesn't matter because I wasn't trying to impress him or anything, but if I'm getting a picture w/Nunez, I will obviously want to share it, and why didn't I look better?!!? GAHH!) That's all I have to say about that.
Thank you M, for treating me to a weekend away. Thank you for the past 8 years of sticking with me through thick and thin. It's mostly been thin or thick. I guess it's a matter of perspective. But, we are working on it and we haven't given up. Thank you for your commitment, encouragement, love, generosity, and forgiveness. I'm thankful to God for putting you in my line of fire life. You truly are my best friend and my love.

Things rattling around in my brain

There have been a couple of stars lately in the news because of the gifts they have given to ordinary people just out of the blue. Why don't more people do this? Or do they do it everyday, and it just doesn't get reported? I think that would be so much fun to just randomly be able to go out and give someone a gift. Something frivolous like Renee did for the makeup artist, or something completely life changing like Colin did for the homeless man.
If you have more money than you could ever spend in your lifetime, do you try to find creative ways of giving it away? Do you hand it all over to a financial adviser to be invested and monitored and only spent "wisely"? Ahh, to have to answer those questions...

Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Sure, why not?!

I've been in a funk lately. I don't want to be at work but I don't want to be home. I don't want to work out or watch t.v. or be on the computer or do anything.
Have you ever just been going along minding your own business and then something makes you stop dead in your tracks and you wonder, "is this what I'm going to do with my life?"
I just feel attacked lately. I keep getting hit and knocked down. I'm tired of all of my actions being under scrutiny and then people ASSuming how I'm going to react or perceiving things the wrong way.

I've also been thinking that we've been going about the PMS theory all wrong. You know how when you're having a bad day or someone is just an a** and then they say, "Are you PMSing?" A woman's first response is to get all upset and defensive, right? Well, from now on I'm going to embrace it.
Someone doesn't like my attitude. Response: I'm PMSing!
You don't like how much I've spent. Response: I'm PMSing!
Go ahead and order the 7 layers of chocolate for dessert. Response:I'm PMSing!
The laundry doesn't get done for more than a week. Response:I'm PMSing!
I think I can apply it to pretty much anything I want to. If guys can use it as an excuse for us being mad about something, which of course they could never be the cause of, then we should be able to use it as an excuse just because.
That's my deep thought for the week. Do with it what you will.

12 laps in 30 minutes!

Best Laid Plans...

So, the running thing hasn't been going very well. Not so much that it's not going well, it's just not going. As soon as we determined our schedule all sorts of things came up. Friday we went to a comedy club to see a comic that didn't show and we suffered through terrible customer service on top of that. Saturday the hubbs had to study all day for upcoming tests. I think we decided not to run because we would for sure pick it back up on Sunday. Of course Sunday I wasn't feeling well. It wasn't a cold, I just kept feeling light headed and then I could feel a migraine trying to rip apart my skull. Monday the hubbs got a B! on his test so we wanted to celebrate AND it was the kickoff for the 49ers season, so we had to go eat and then watch the first half of the game with my parents. 49ers won! It was a tough game but they pulled it out with about 22 seconds left in the game!
Last night we finally got back to the track and I ran one lap and the little one needed to go to the bathroom. So, I may or may not have taken him to a field nearby. Altogether I got about 3 laps done. I did do a 30 minute circuit training workout, so I got about an hour's worth of exercise.
We are still trying to figure out a schedule that's going to work for us. We can't go in the morning because I don't want to leave the boys alone. If we go in the evening, I get home from workout after 6, so we get to the track around 7 and then when it's all said and done we don't get home until almost 8, which is too late for the boys to eat because their bedtime is 8. I also have to still find time to do laundry, pick up odds and ends, get my gym bag ready for the next day, shower, look at the sale ads, watch t.v., EAT.
It sounds like I'm trying to find reasons to get out of this whole running stuff. I'm really not, though. Right?

In Training

It's official. I'm "in training" for a 5K run. The Hubbs and I are running together. It took us a few days to actually jump in, but we've gone a couple of days now to the track. I'm very proud of him. He right away was excited that I wanted to run and we bought some running shoes for me. It's cute how he keeps thinking that maybe I might really like to run and become addicted. Sorry, honey, I don't think that's going to happen. I am excited to be doing something and I'm lucky that I get to run with my husband and he's supportive. I'll let you all know if I make it through the week!

words to live by

I came across a few sayings recently that I like, so I thought I would post them.

Maybe all we can hope to do is end up with the right regrets. -Arthur Miller

I am too blessed to be stressed, and too anointed to be disappointed.

Winners make things happen. Losers let things happen.

Cliche, I know! I like the last one because there have been a couple of things I would like to get involved in and I don't know where to start or I am waiting on someone to walk me through it. I need to just decide to do it and make it happen. One of my items is that I kind of, sort of, would like to run a half marathon and I don't have any idea where to start. So, any advice from the singerzwife would be greatly appreciated! I really hate to run so it is odd that I've been thinking about running! a marathon! I'm down to run a 1/4th marathon. Even an 1/8th? So far I haven't found any such thing in my city. Weird, right? Anyway, I for some reason think that I need to accomplish something and I guess that's something I feel like I need to do. I think D from here really inspired me after her major accomplishment.
In other news, there isn't any other news! Have a safe and fun Labor Day weekend!

Finally a new post! It's nothing to write home about though...

It's been so long, I feel like I'm starting this all over again. I decided to take a break and it just kept getting longer and longer.
The boys are in a new school this year. It's a charter school and I already feel like it was a very good move.
That's it for now.

My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

It's not even Hump day yet

Nothing too exciting to report from the land of enchantment. (try disenchanted)
The hubbs is busy with band practice, finals, entrance exams, externships, getting back to work, and trying to get out of the boot. The kids are in the last few weeks of school and have decided that it's the perfect time to start acting up in school. All three of them! In the same week! Our school system is spectacular by the way. Whenever something happens, like your child yells at someone, the school wants to know if anything is "going on at home?" It's super fun to have to listen to this question get asked for every single infarction, for each child. I've decided instead of even answering them, I'm going to turn it back on them and ask if maybe there's something, "going on at SCHOOL." First of all, even if there was "something going on," would I divulge that to them? And, does that mean my child(ren) are excused? If something serious enough was going on, I would let the teacher know ahead of time. Moving on...
I'm not having a very week and I just realized that it's only Tuesday! If I can just hang on until Thursday. That's my Girls Night Out. Except we usually stay in at someone's house, and we each have our kids with us. It's still fun and I get to find out if there is "anything going on at home" with ma girls.

Jack

We have a new puppy. We rescued him from the animal shelter and according to them he's about 2. He's a little terrier mix, furry job and he is adorable. Except that he poops. And he sheds. Hair. Everywhere. Especially on my black clothes and my velour sweat suits! (Eeww. After the 70's who would have thought we would be wearing velour again?) He also has thrown up on the kitchen floor. Is everyone aware that pets do this kind of stuff? Why was I not informed? Is it not enough that we rescued him from a certain death, not to mention the grumpy cell mate he had. I don't know about this pet business. I can't even tell you the time I've had trying to name this guy. I was adamant that he not have a people name. So, we named him Jack. I think that's what we finally agreed on. We've been calling him all kinds of names to see if he would respond to one. Any one. He won't even perk up an ear. All we were looking for is some kind of sign as to what to name this dog!! My friend even had a whole office coming up with names. It didn't take this long to come up with a name for our son. So, after all the agonizing tears and sleepless nights, it's Jack. Just Jack.
Here's a list of discarded names:
Mr. Bo Jangles
Barky Von Schnauzer
Lt. Dangle
Fender
Ozzy
Michael Kelly Guitar Patriot custom w/Mahogany neck in Amber (the hubby's submission)
Gizmo
chewbaca
Bailey
fuzzy britches
pooper scooper
You are so going back to the pound, Mister!(I'm kind of partial to this one)

This is Jack.

Gooey yumminess

Is there anything better than an eclair? How about a giant eclair? How about a free, giant eclair? That's what I had for breakfast this morning. I refuse to feel guilty about it too. It's so yummy. A doughnut filled with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate. MMMMmmmmmm...I still have half of it waiting for me to gobble it up.
It wasn't completely free, though. A couple of us were trying to convince someone to make a run, and I offered to make Biscochitos for this person in exchange. I think it's fair, and I might possibly burn a calorie or two from the eclair in the process. Why can't more things in life be this simple?

Odd thoughts

Do you ever look at people and wonder what they are like? I will see an old man at the mall just sitting on a bench and I will think, "Aww, what a cute little grandpa." Then I start to think that maybe he's not. What if he's some tyrant who was mean to his kids or his wife and made everyone miserable and that's why he's alone right now. Or the lady I was behind in traffic with a messed up car, all primered up and missing chunks out of the body. I think, poor thing, she's just trying to make a living and support her kids. But what if she's not? What if she's got six kids by six different dads and she neglects them and spends all, if any child support money on manicures and jewelry and getting her hair done, meanwhile her kids don't have clothes that fit? I'm a people watcher and I guess I just get carried away wondering what they are really like. We never really know what's going on in other's lives. We make assumptions by the way they are dressed or what they drive or how they talk. I like to think that the little grandpa has lived a full life and is loved. I hope the struggling mom will find her way and that her kids love and admire her. I say a little prayer for the people that stick out in my observations that life is good for them and that they know peace.

13

Today is Friday the 13th. I'm not superstitious but this morning while I was getting ready for work, a humongous spider was crawling down my arm!!! I can't stop itching. I don't mind spiders as long as they are chomping up other grody bugs and as long as they ARE NOT CRAWLING DOWN MY ARM!
The hubby, my knight in flannel pj bottoms, came to my rescue and slayed the offending beast for me. I hope everyone has a good day!

The best thing ever!

scrabble sofas!

A New Post!

1. We finally have a final diagnosis on the Hubby. He has a stress fracture in his left foot. He is slowly but surely recovering. The good thing was that he has had a lot of time off and it's been nice having him home & awake on the weekends!

2. Stuff that hurts my heart & that I can't/don't want to go into right now. Maybe later when it's all been resolved. Part of which includes anger @ a school system I always defended & felt that parents needed to be more involved in if they wanted it to get better. Now, I'm just done. It won't get better. You can't fight it, & most disturbing to me- you can't change it. The only thing I still stand by is this: schools are a product of our society. We have made them what they are, and most certainly what they are not.

3. My little man made his first spring break trip by himself! He went to visit his aunts & uncles & cousins. He flew on a plane all by himself. He has his own money that he had to budget. He left me an 11 y/o and he came home a 12 y/o. (tearing up right now...) He had a blast. He shopped, he played, he drank a crazy amount of Mtn. Dew, he went to his first ever pro-basketball game, & he got to sit 3 rows behind the dugout at a pro-baseball game!
*side note* you are required to take off your shoes in order to get through security @ the airport. Am I the only one who thinks it's disgusting to go barefoot?! I saw so many people who wore slip-on shoes, for convenience-I get that, but then took their stinky, sweaty feet & walked on the concrete, which had to be cold! and then someone behind them did the exact same thing. They walked the same path, picking up sweat & germs from the person before, leaving behind their own mix of yuckiness! Not to mention the hair that could be down there, just waiting to get all wrapped around a toe, yikes, and then there were bare toes everywhere. Talk about nastyiness. Am I alone here on this?

4. Also, re: the airport. Why does every stupid/annoying/irritating idiot who knows nothing about respecting people's personal space, always end up in line right behind me?!! Have you ever seen the show about people's boiling points? I would so not win any money... Anyway, at 7:00 in the morning on a weekend, anxiously waiting to pick up my son, I don't want to stand in a massive line to get through security with some idiot behind me who talks loud enough for the whole airport to hear him. Who do I get stuck in front of? Not only is he talking loud and getting too close to me, it was April Fools Day, so he was trying to come up with various scenarios to play on the people who just dropped him off and his wife/son's mother that was meeting them at their destination. He had a child with him who talked like he was a college professor. The child was more mature, probably out of necessity, but also equally as irritating, because, You're A Kid for Pete's Sake! Once we got through security I put on my tennis & got as far away as possible. /airport.story

5. I have a wonderful new toy that I never thought in my entire life, would I ever get the pleasure of owning. Check back for pictures and general screams of joy!

I wanna be sedated

Where to begin?
To start with, I've been absent because we have had a lot going on. We've spent at least 18 hours total in the ER because something happened to the Hubbs foot and no one can figure it out. He was in extreme pain and it would turn purple when he stood up, so the first thought was a blood clot. Thankfully, that's not the case. I did get to see where he works and I met a lot of the people he works with. (That is another post in and of itself!)
Meanwhile, the little one had been sick and out of school for three days, the Travidoo and I were fighting allergies, the laundry needed to be done, the house needed to be cleaned, dinner needed to be made, purchases from the gap needed to be made, and the world needed saving.
I honestly can't believe I just wrote about the most horrendous past week and half or so in just a few sentences. It's been crazy and stressful, but that's life, right?
Right now, we are still trying to get a definite answer about the Hubbs foot. The pain isn't quite as bad, but still there and while he isn't using crutches anymore, he is in a boot and hobbling around.
The Hurricane is back to full force gale winds, and the Travidoo and I discovered the wonders of Apple Cider Vinegar. That stuff smells so nasty, but! we have been putting about a teaspoon of it in some juice and gulping it down. It's better than any drugs I've taken! I still sneeze once and while and have to blow my nose a couple of times a day, but I'm not sitting in the car in the morning with tears streaming down my face. I haven't gone through a box of tissue yet. I haven't taken one pill for allergies. Travidoo doesn't have dark circles under his eyes from being so miserable with allergies. I'm telling you, it's a miracle!
So, that's it in a nutshell. On the plus side, I've already gotten a lot of my spring cleaning done.

Women's words

1.) FINE: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2.) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3.) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4.) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5.) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6.) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7.) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or Faint. Just say you're welcome.

8.) Whatever: Is a women's way of saying UP yours.

9.) Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "what's wrong", for the woman's response refer to # 3.

I think you should also note that any and all of these are subject to change at any time and whenever we feel like it!

(no title)

I got nothing. I'm bored. I'm not motivated. Just thought you should know.

I will leave you with this:
overheard from the kitchen during dinner of fried chicken last night-

Hurricane: "Hey! Why is there a bone in my chicken?! I just found a BONE in my chicken!"

PS-Hurricane also got a *glowing* report from his teacher at the parent/teacher conference yesterday. He's at the top of his class and he's funny, and he gets jokes and sarcasm. The rest of the class is too serious. I love his teacher.

driving lesson #567

Pulling into traffic.
If you only have one lane to pull into, wait until there isn't anybody coming before you pull out. If someone is coming and you pull in front of them, you better gun it so they don't have to slow down or hand you your butt through the windsheild!
If there is more than one lane of traffic, always pull into the lane that doesn't have anyone in it. If you pull onto the road and realize you've picked the wrong lane, turn on your blinker and get the heck out of the way!
Side note-if you are at an intersection with out a light and you want to make a left hand turn, move to the left of the lane as far as possible. This leaves room for those wanting to turn right and not wanting to wait until God has come before you decide to chance pulling to the middle of the road before completing your turn!

Doesn't work well with others

the Badoozer
has issued a new challenge. But, since I really don't like to be told what to do, and I couldn't have done what she asked if I wanted to, I've sort of done the opposite of what she asked for. She wanted pictures of old, stinky, smelly shoes or something like that. I have instead posted some of my favorite shoes of the moment from my winter collection. I know, material things are not what we're all about, blah, blah, blah. Shoes are fun and make me smile! Here are a few of my favorites:

I'm always up for boots. I included my new brown wedge boots w/a buckle, and I could never leave out my Harley Davidson boots. I also noticed a theme of red and green. Hmmm...interesting. I love platform heels, and heels w/straps around the ankle and wedge heels and anything with a bow! I'm slowly getting into ballerina flats, being that I'm only 5 foot nothing, I only do those occasionally, but what better than CAMO ballerina flats?!

Shoes are so much fun.
Wedges, heels, platforms, boots, flats,
Love to wear them all!

eso-si-que-es

This is the sock bouquet that I got for VD! I love these socks!

Here they are on:

I know, it's weird that I get excited over socks, but I've been looking for some like this for a while. I found them online from one of the girls next door, and I asked the Hubbs for them and Voila! I am so spoiled and believe me, I know it, and I do appreciate it!

My Valentine

The Hubbs got to come home on Wednesday. The surgery went fine and he is recovering. You think that once a procedure is finished, you are done. Not so much. The recovery is just as worrisome. You have to look out for infections, there are numerous pills to take, you have to watch for fever, and all this is on top of just trying to feel better. I am thankful it was caught in time, and my honey is home safe. It's all just a reminder that we are not infallable. Thank you, God, for protecting him and sending him back home to me safe and sound.

Prayers welcome

The Hubbs was very sick all day yesterday. He decided to go to the hospital and get checked out. He was admitted and he just got out of surgery. He had an appendectomy.
We also had a snow storm last night, so I am stuck at home and my honey is in the hospital and I can't get to him. Now the schools are on a two hour delay, which means I have to wait even longer before I can go see my husband.
Happy Valentine's Day.

I couldn't resist...

WOMAN'S POEM

Before I lay me down to sleep,
I pray for a man, who's not a creep,
One who's handsome, smart and strong.
One who loves to listen long,
One who thinks before he speaks,
One who'll call, not wait for weeks.
I pray he's gainfully employed,
When I spend his cash, won't be annoyed.
Pulls out my chair and opens my door,
Massages my back and begs to do more.
Oh! Send me a man who'll make love to my mind, Knows how to answer
"how big is my behind?"
I pray that this man will love me to no end, And always be my very best
friend.

MAN'S POEM

I pray for a deaf-mute nymphomaniac with huge boobs Who owns a liquor
store and a golf course.

This doesn't rhyme and I don't give a shit

update

My little baby brother is now a married man.
We shopped & shopped & shopped.
The Hubbs is a straight A student.
Travidoo bought shoes that can't be found in our hometown, so he IS the little "man" @ school.
The Hurricane lost his first tooth!
We got a little bit of snow last night but it was gone this morning.
The Hubbs and I bought new mattresses! Due for delivery on Thursday. So...I probably won't be available to post again until Friday night when the Hubbs is working. Know what I mean? ;)

filler

This weekend was spent at two malls in town, Salsa-robics class and then sitting around and doing nothing! It's fine at the time, but later I always feel guilty and get upset with myself for not doing something productive. Like preparing for our upcoming trip!
So, the boys and I watched A LOT of football this weekend. I always want to see a good game and not a blow out because those are too boring. After the Saints v. Eagles, and the Seahawks v. Bears games, I'm thinking my heart can't take much more of that. It's so stressful and irritating when the team your cheering for is playing like crap! My son also pointed out that both games ended with the exact same score.
Seahawks 24
Bears 27

Saints 27
Eagles 24

Patriots 24
Chargers 21

Colts 15
Ravens 6

Next week will be:
Patriots v. Colts
Saints v. Bears

Since my 5 time SuperBowl Champs, the 49ers aren't in it this year, looks like we'll be cheering for the Saints. Just thought you'd want to know. or not. Whatever it's my blog.
P.S. I don't do resolutions because they never work out for me. Like if I had a couple for this year, they would have already been broken and then I would be so disappointed in myself, but it's a good thing I don't do them.

car

The following is for susiebadoozie
Here she is! The front seat of my Jeep. Nothing exciting except for my broken Buttercup keychain in the cupholder. I lovelovelove Buttercup from the PowerPuff Girls!
Here's the backseat. My bear is all snuggled up in my scarf and he's watching over my Bible. That's it.
